Kristen Ashley

This book was recommended to me because I like angsty romances. It certainly was - for the book's first part, but then the story kind of frittered away. The overarching conflict with another gang trying to take over the motorcycle club's territory wasn't resolved, at least in this book. I was left wondering what happened, but this is partially my fault because I didn't realize this book was part of a series, and I guess that gets resolved in a later book.
Millie and High had three good years, but then she broke them up, leaving him to wonder what happened. Twenty years later, he finally discovers the reason, with lots of tension and angst sprinkled into their relationship. But then the story drags (and this is a long book). I liked both Millie and High?Logan and the other characters in the Chaos MC. The dialogue and setting felt authentic, but the drama with his younger daughter felt slapped in to fill out the story.… (mais)

It was a great book, but only for the people who already know the author ans read most of her books, because there are short stories and snippets of many of her series. We have two longer stories here - one is about Luci from Heaven and Hell and the other is the ending of the Honey series - I found both of them charming. There are sweet scenes from The Burg, from Unfinished Heroes and from Rock Chick series and I loved all of them. Finally, there is a very short story about matchmaking fairies - more like a tease than a real story, but I enjoyed it very much.

For me - a huge fan of the author - this book was like a box of tiny treasures and I would recommend it to the people who know and love Kristen Ashley's books.
