Loved it! Stella and Mace were a fantastic read. All the characters, the action were top notch. ( )

I liked this one better than I thought I was going to. I generally don't care for second chance at love stories. I am glad that eventually KA started telling bits of the story from the hero's POV which is something that I really missed in the first several volumes. Mace was not my favorite hero because of the games he played. I really enjoyed looking up all the music that Stella played though. I am really looking forward to reading the spin off series about Mace's security business in California now. ( )

The ex-surfer/snowboarder now turned badass PI and the could be world famous lead singer of the Blue Moon Gypsies.

They were funny. They were frustrating. They were romantic. They were a KA couple.

They had been involved a year or so before when Mace suddenly broke it off. Never again is what Stella vowed. Never again would she let Mace have a piece of her.

But all it takes is one phone call from Buzz, a member of the band, and Stella is running to his rescue. Something is wrong with his girlfriend, he thinks she might have OD'ed. Little did Stella know when she gets there someone is in danger....and it's her. Shots ring out. Mace moves in to do his protecting bit.....never once giving Stella a chance to tell him she's been shot. (grazed actually but she didn't know that at the time.) When they finally get to the Castle where all the other Rock Chicks have been gathered someone brings it to Mace's attention.....and so it begins....the love story.

I love how Tex, Duke and Shirleen give all potential Rock Chicks basically the same advice. They are men, they have decided you are their woman, don't fight it.

I thought by book #6 these characters might get a little stale or the stories a little too out there. Well in some things they are pretty unbelievable but then again that's what makes them so much fun to read. These two......communication people. Take turns speaking and listening!

I'm off to the next Rock Chick. Hector and Sadie. I know how they end up because I have read other KA books where they are mentioned. Oh and the epilogue kind of gives us the low down here. ( )

This is a heart breaking story, at times i found it a painful read, 'Mace's experience we have learnt a little about in previous books, i think with Jet but when we find out the detail its tear jerking.

At times i found Mace a little infuriating, he has his own breed of Alpha, we know from other books he is moody but at times i could have kicked him, esp at a particular point when he walks away. AGAIN!!

I would suggest listening to the songs that the band and Stella play while reading, the lyrics express some of the story.
