Loved it beyond measure.
I hope she either writes more in this series or a spin off.

I have read the first three teaser chapters provided by KA by various sources, i gotta say this is an emotional ... EMOTIONAL story. Just at chapter one i had tears in my eyes.
When we met Frankka before i think a lot felt there was more to her, and my goodness she has a deep, dark story.
What i love is Noc is amazing, i loved him in Tor and Cora's story and wished a happy ending for him then so to have him in this book is a dream come true.
But what i think is really clever is KA is she presents you with a story and you draw conclusions, conclusions that seem perfectly logical but then she looks at things from another persons angle and you realise you missed something really really obvious.
By the third chapter in Frankka's story you find out some of why she is the way she is.... Poor girl and Noc is there and is amazing.

The story is amazing, it is different to the rest of the series, POV from Noc and Franka and occasionally Valentine.
A few suprises , i don't want to spoil what they are, but very good and answers questions you may have had from previous books.

Excellent epilogue where we catch up with the other couples and some.... ( )

Skipped a bunch to get through it. This was the second book I read in this series (completely out of order) and maybe that's why I didn't like it. I had series troubles with the first one in the series, but powered through. Not this one. It wasn't for me.

Franka helped save everyone from the evil witches and now she wants to get away from everyone and everything, especially when her history comes to light. Abused by her parents and taking extreme punishement to protect her brother, she is no longer reviled. Her secret of being a witch is also revealed and she learns new wonders training her craft. Her attraction to Noctorno grows, especially after he takes her to his world. I liked how they were, didn't like the side story of meddling with the Earth side Circe. It felt a little dragged out towards the end. ( )

I was a little worried going into this story because of the reviews. I'm glad I didn't pay attention to them because this was one of my favorites of the series. Ironically, everyone else's favorite (#2) was my least favorite. This just goes to show that the beauty of a book varies depending on the person.

I loved seeing how Franka and Josette adapted to the modern world. I had to chuckle quite a few times. Ii adored Noc and Franka together. I did get frustrated at the end with Noc and his "issue" but got over that wuickly.

The only reason that this didn't score higher was because I wanted to see what happens with Valentine. I felt it hinted at things through the whole book but never went anywhere.

That being said, I'm glad this was my first series/time reading this author. It was truly sublime and I look forward to reading more in the future. ( )
