Thank you. I'm looking forward to this chat. My first novel The Captain's Lady is a Contemporary Military Romance, A Passionate Tale of Love During the Iraqi War.

A short blurb:
Captain Eric Hamilton discovers a dinghy adrift with a battered, pregnant Abby. She escaped from the Arab who held her captive for over a year. He is charged, maliciously, with sexual assault and the CIA wants Abby and the baby. Can Eric find a way to save them both?

I am mother and an advocate for the special needs, writing is something I love to do and have just completed my third novel, a work of Women's Fiction with paranormal and romantic elements.

You've chosen a timely setting and subject for your story. How did you come up with your ideas? I wish you well with your new title and many more to follow!

Thank you Donna for your best wishes. The Captain's Lady came to me in a a dream. It was the scene where Abby is rescued and lying on the deck of the Military Ship. Out of that and the research I compiled the rest of the story unfolded.

I have two other completed novels. My story ideas actually come from experiences from friends, family, or a community issue around me. I also do extensive research on a topic and out of that other aspects of the story take form.

I received today another outstanding review of The Captain's Lady, this time from Long and Short Reviews

The cover drew me in and the blurb snared me. How could it not? A story involving a woman sold into slavery and the Navy Captain that saves her – what’s not to like? But I soon discovered there is far more to The Captain’s Lady than meets the eye. You have the tension, the uncertainty, the intensity. Each element expands, pulling you into the story, until you can’t wait to learn what happens next. What begins as a romance becomes a complex web of false accusation, and each page draws you in deeper and deeper... see the entire review at
