Adventure/Fantasy Fiction:
A group of siblings (one brother, two sisters, possibly) visit their famous author relative's house.
I remember a small detail from this section:
one of the kids comments about a bust of Aristotle sitting somewhere in the house.

The house somehow gets transported into to a fantasy world (first, a dense forest?); they realize their water doesn't work, but one of the siblings realizes they can safely drink from the tank of the toilet (yeah, that's an odd detail).

They get ambushed by either knights or pirates; the kids realize that the authors' books (involving gladiators? knights? pirates? a pilot named Will?) have come to life. Will's plane crashes near the house, and he parachutes to the ground before the kids intercept him.

Eventually, the kids find the author himself; he reveals that he used a magical book (filled with blank pages?) that grants wishes to bring his stories to life, and to bring himself infinite wealth and power, at the cost of physical deformation (his face is messed up, described as having "skin flaps"). The immense power of the book has corrupted him; it seems to have an evil personality of its own, tinging the user with that evil with every wish.

Iconography of an eye, possibly in a triangle, appears throughout the story.

In the finale, reality starts falling apart; among other things, the author wishes the brother to have the same "skin flap" face that he has (because the brother seemed particularly disgusted by it?). The youngest sister gets her hands on the book and fixes everything, transporting them back into the real world.

At the very end the siblings are sitting in a room; previously-fictional Will throws a pebble at the window, revealing that the younger sister also brought him into the real world too, because the older sister had a crush on him.

The names of the siblings are possibly: Brenda, Cornelia, Brandon.
Intended audience: middle school / high schoolers
I read likely read it between 2011 and 2018, but that says nothing about when it was published. I can say almost for certain it was published after 2004.
I read it in America.
I think it is a relatively thick book.
I cannot remember anything about the author or the title.
I can only remember the main details of the cover: a tall, fancy mansion, possibly floating, and the siblings possibly on a balcony of some sort. The eyes in the triangles were placed on each corner of the cover.

I thought this book was relatively well-known, but I have had so much difficulty finding any traces of it on the internet.

I just reread it.

It is interesting the small details I remembered 100% correctly a decade later
(the water detail, the Aristotle bust that gets mentioned more than once, for some reason, the skin flap face)

... and the things that I slightly misremembered or forgot about entirely
(.... namely, the entire primary antagonist! but also Penelope Hope, the Walker parents, Fat Jagger, the Moray)

Fun book!

Check out this interview (https://cherishedbyme.com/2013/04/house-of-secrets-3/)
with Ned Vizzini containing, among other things, some interesting, very 2013 castings for the characters, if the book were ever to become a movie.
