Mel Gibson's stunning film The Passion of the Christ has touched thousand of hearts since its release. Yet, despite its visual and emotional impact, the dramatic events portrayed do not explain themselves; they often give rise to perplexing questions. This short book helps you delve a little deeper into some of the movie's profound riches--the passion of Christ.

I had expected this to be a negative commentary on the Dr Laura person/radio show but it seemed that Allen was a bit afraid to take her on. He said he found some things she says not biblically correct, but then goes on to say wonderful things about her. I just kept reding and all I could feel in the endeavor was a man coming up against a strong lady, and not willing to critique her in an honest way. He does say some negative comments, but sugar coats them. Dr Laura even wrote the preface, so complete control from her. I do agree with some of her teachings, and especially that we need to take control of our our behaviors and accept responsibility for our choices. But the way she machine-gun criticizes people is not a loving, Biblical way(show me a N.T. scripture where Jesus slapped people on the side of the head to get their act together. He showed compassion. i.e. the woman at the well. Dr. Laura shows none of that, unless it is a man, and then she is usually pro-man.
Even though she divorced at an early age, she is most hateful to those in the same situation now. She walked in their shoes, but is now so much a god that she doesn't have the compassion of Jesus. And being a Jew, she is still waiting for Jesus, so she follows only the Old Testament in her views. When she uses the N.T. she doesn't say she doesn't believe Jesus has come yet, she just uses the Bible to hurt. Her favorite put down to a woman is 'shacking up.' Dr. Laura, it takes two, not just a woman.
I don't recommend this to anyone sitting on the fence but if you love her, you'll like this book.
