A few weeks ago I read Night's Lies, a wonderful novel by Gesualdo Bufalino. I do not know how to write about it without giving it away. The story is set in an island prison where four men spend a final night together awaiting execution the following morning for their role in a plot against the monarchy. Again, I do not know how to describe the story further without revealing too much, but please read this book if you have a chance. The writing and translation are superb; it is a classic for good reason. If I were more knowledgeable about the world of Italian literature I would write an article comparing Night's Lies to the Luther Blissett novel Q. In my mind there is a clear line connecting the two. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

As they see the scaffold set up, they search through their past to find some pattern that will give meaning to their fate. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
