Group Read, March 2024: The Bitter Glass

Ooh, this one that I haven't read! I think I purchased a used paperback copy a while ago. I will have to find it...

Looking forward to reading this when I'm done with Jane Eyre.

I'm half way through and enjoying this. The writing is lovely, very straightforward yet conveying well the tensions between the characters. I can tell that Dillon wrote for children and young adults before she wrote for adults.

Just finished. Subtle, understated writing, and such sorrow by the end.

I liked the book, but the tragedy felt a bit telegraphed, and I honestly don't think it will stick with me for long.
