Huge disappointment! It was like reading a dictionary....so much information you want to regurgitate it. I was hoping this book would be a continuation of what Tommy & Ginny went through after Grizz went to prison. How they fell in love and had a child together. It really wasn't! This book was like she wrote 30 chapters, stapled them each, then threw them up in the air. She then picked them all up and put them together in whatever order they happened to be in. One chapter would be Grizz in 1950, the next Ginny/Tommy in 2000, then for good measure lots of flashbacks to when Ginny was at the motel! It did clear up a few questions but no real great revelations. Oh, each character has multiple names to keep up with too. I won't continue and wished I had stopped after finishing book one which was a story I couldn't put down.… (mais)

A love story like no other

An unpredictable, messy, heart wrenching heck of a love story.
I read this based on the strength of the other reviews.

It’s hard to put into words how special this book is. Beautiful flawed people. Tender moments. No massive separations where you wonder: how many pages until our lovers reunite.

I started this review by rating it 4 stars. As I reflected back on the story, 4 stars felt inadequate. I know I will be pondering this book for months to come. 5 stars is the only rating which can come close to doing Nine Minutes justice.

Side note: For some reason, by the end of the story I ended up with the song ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift running through my head on repeat. Disregarding the lyrics, the music just felt like it fit.
