Resenhas

Read at Nora's urging. Pretty good, especially compared to most mainstream comics, but way too gory for me. There's one scene I still remember vividly almost nine years on, and it's not a good thing. (Rating is personal, not a reflection of how much literary merit I think it has.)

Fun Batman pastiche romp within England making them more than the window dressing characters revived by Morrison.

A jumbled mess of an adaptation of a very compelling book. While some of the art was interesting (I had not thought about the scale of some of the rooms in the silo), much was just as jumbled and difficult to understand as the plot. The most significant casualties of cramming a 500 page novel into a 160 comic are the characters. Only a glimmer of them remained. Disappointing.

Our friend gave us the first 8 Lucifer trades for free to clear up shelf space, so at least we didn't pay for this. If you want a book where a white guy explains a Native girl's own fucking culture to her...then I guess you've come to the right place?
