There is just something magical about how this author writes. It mesmerizes me. Even though I didn't fully connect with the story, I did with the characters. Their thought processes, interactions, and chemistry was perfect. Add in the links to the YouTube videos that enhanced the story and this was a great book.

I remember when I first discovered this author years ago when Up in the Tree House came out that I knew then that this author would find success in writing. I was correct in that assumption because there is just something magical about the way that she writes. I find myself becoming one with not only the story but the characters themselves. I feel their fears, their concerns, their hopes, their attraction, and their sadness. That was especially true with this story.

Initially, I was a little unsure about Maggie because I didn't understand how she was acting but I WANTED to understand her so that propelled me forward. I am glad I did because I liked being along for the ride as she discovered herself too. I could understand her not having a focus when everything she had thought she wanted was tied to her looks and what she had been basically trained to believe. Desmond was another one that I was unsure of at first because he seemed so cocky while also being aloof and somewhat jaded in regards to Maggie. However, the old saying that opposites attract was definitely true because I felt the connection as they both tried to fight it. I liked the symbology of the camera and what it meant for both of them. I appreciated that there has to be mutual trust. I also liked getting to know Desmond's background story and why he behaved the way he did. There is definitely Daddy baggage for both of them. I appreciated how the author tied the entire full circle through the dad connection and showed how precious life is and to appreciate what you have.

My biggest issue with this story comes from Maggie's relationship with her Mom and Dad. First, her mom seemed like she had a lot to make up for and also answer for and her Dad I just wanted a further explanation. I loved seeing Monica and Zach again and Gavin and Chloe. It makes me want to go back and reread them again and leave a review since I didn't know then the importance of leaving a review in addition to leaving a star ranking for indie authors as I know now. Until I get a chance to do that, I highly recommend everyone to go read this series of interconnected standalones. They are something special.

This duet has always been the one that stood out to me the most when I think of this author. I am a snob when it comes to rock romances. However, in this case it wasn't as much about the sub-genre as it was the characters. These characters own a piece of my soul. Truly. Having both of these as a boxset instead of just individually is great and the bonus scenes? Straight up amazing. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone that loves rock romance, amazing characters, and an epic one of a kind love story. Trust me.

Dangerous Hearts
Fantastic

I love reading. All sorts of genres. Rock romances are one of my favorites but one I rarely read because it is the one that I am pickiest about. I read the blurb and thought to myself, "please, don't let me down." KK Allen didn't. I am in love with both these characters. Lyric. (The name I came so precariously naming my daughter because of my love of music). She is EVERYTHING. Beowulf/Wolf is a Rock God with groupies juxtaposed between being a man dedicated to just one woman.

Destined Hearts
YES!!!

I love rock star romance almost as much as I love music. Almost. Music, or rather the lyrics, has saved me more times than I can count. Whether it was to overcome a loss, moments of joy, the hardship of betrayal or to help me heal and grow. It is this reason that I am so picky about this genre. It has to be perfect. It needs to soothe my soul after it has invoked all the feels. This book/series did that and then some.

I've got a crazy girl crush on Lyric. She is the embodiment of woman juxtaposed with a warrior. I cannot help but think of the famous Shakespeare quote, "all though she be but little she is fierce" when I think of Lyric. Sweet Wolf. Holy titfire. There needs to be a way of cloning this man. His love and devotion to Lyric is the stuff dreams are made off.

Thank you KK Allen for doing my favorite genre justice. I hope you write more of this in the future.

What a great addition to these interconnected standalone. This was one of my favorites of the series. There was just something special about Kingston and Silver. I liked their connection and I loved the inferences of the moon into the story. Having grown up on Lake Sammamish and spending many a summers on Lake Washington, this book felt like going home. I love that an author can bring my childhood home to me in a book.
