"Companion" perfectly describes this little art book, filled to the brim with interesting historical information about each major movement and the individual artist's style.

Images included are limited to only the most well-known and/or influential of each artist, but you'll enjoy this book for the portability of good, concise reading on the subject of art. Nice little book even though some artists are only represented with a partial page of info. (
