Focusing on a specific theme every month and accepting articles from a variety of writers, "Cobblestone" covers all eras of American history, often in the same magazine as it follows one idea or innovation through history, such as photography or little-known events with huge historical impacts. Each issue includes the Cartoon Connection, featuring several characters who explain the subject to readers again. In addition to the Cartoon Connection, teach issue contains a "Mystery Hero," a resource section, student submissions, at least one map, and a variety of did-you-know fast facts scattered throughout the magazine. Printed on high-quality glossy paper that will not fall apart the first time it is shoved into a backpack and filled with illustrations, photographs, and other attention-grabbers, "Cobblestone" is well worth the approximately seven dollars per issue, or about thirty-five dollars for the nine issues included in a year's subscription, especially since the only advertisement is a single page suggesting other magazines from the same publisher. Recommended for school libraries. Ages 9-12. ( ) sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
