I can't say I enjoyed it because the subject matter doesn't allow for that but I wasn't tempted to stop reading either.

Try to avoid the spoilers, the read will be better for it.

A very dark tale about a magician (a fallen angel) and his assistant.

This is not a BDSM book, even tho there is an episode that involves restraints, a blindfold and blades of all sort. That scene is in fact a trial, that calls for complete surrender and absolute trust from one of the MCs.

For more see Furio's Review, the only thing I disagree about is highlighting dark corners. I thought it was done just right and some dark spots are better left in the dark. ( )
