The rating is what was implied when a college buddy hurled the book across the room, shouting "drivel!" and declaring that the author deserved the torment of reading his own prose. I'll take his word for it. My trust is strengthened by the fact that the "Galaxy 666" of the title is a planet. The book wound up in my library because neither pleas nor bribes would induce my friend to take it back. "Pel Torro" is, bye the bye, one of the many pseudonyms of the Rev. Lionel Fanthorpe, one of the worst and most prolific English novelists of all time. I suppose that no SF library is truly complete without him. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

I wouldn't say it's the worst ever written because it's such an astonishingly enjoyable read. Any of the Lensman novels; they'd get my vote because not only is the writing poor, the author lacks moral fibre. You can see from the choices he makes on the fly that Fanthorpe is actually a decent human being. ( )
