It wasn’t quite as good as The Martian, largely because that had a more realistic feel to it, as well as being a more inherently suspenseful man-vs-wilderness story. However, this book did a reasonable job of using a lot of the same style (random science in outer space, this time on the Moon) to craft a different, more lighthearted story. Cons: Jazz’s friends asked almost no questions, and were surprisingly amenable to all of her extremely insane plans. Character development of secondary characters was pretty mediocre (Tyler? Where was that guy?). Side stories felt a bit forced. Pros: Main story was fun, well paced, and not too long. Happy-go-lucky style matched well with the story. Overall 4 stars, and a good vacation read, but nothing that will blow your socks off. Weir has cemented himself as one of my favorite authors. I devoured The Martian and would have done the same with Artemis had life and work responsibilities not gotten in the way. I like the amount of action, science, and adventure that takes place in his books. Artemis had me thinking I knew how it would end and then Jazz kept getting in deeper and deeper situations. Very happy I picked this one up! sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Augmenting her limited income by smuggling contraband to survive on the Moon's wealthy city of Artemis, Jazz agrees to commit what seems to be a perfect, lucrative crime, only to find herself embroiled in a conspiracy for control of the city. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

The movie is still in development with Simon Kinberg (The Martian) and Aditya Sood signed on to produce, and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, a team of Writer/Producers with the titles The Lego Movie, 22 Jump Street and Clone High in their credits, signed on to direct.
The author has hinted that this is the first book of a series. I'll be watching for the movie and future books. :-) ( )
