Fiction. Romance. Historical Fiction. HTML:

According to Caroline "Kitty" Tyndall's friends, a young lady who's gone two seasons in London with nary a nibble from a prospective suitor is well on the way to spinsterhood. But what's a girl to do when she's never been kissed, and the worldly man she wants regards her as a child?

Hugh McCollum spends his days as a stable hand staying out of trouble and saving for his planned emigration to America. When Lady Caroline asks him to teach her how to kiss so the man she's set her cap for will find her more sophisticated, he knows he should run in the other direction. But when a pretty young woman falls into his arms and begs for his help, what's a red-blooded man to do but oblige?

If learning to kiss leads Kitty to love, will the man of her dreams be the man of her heart?

Such a cute short story, Teach Me Under the Mistletoe is a beautiful romance story that makes your heart race! Hugh and Kitty are adorable and I was rooting for their romance!

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. ( )

A very enjoyable read where the main characters grow from having an idea of the ideal love to understanding what love truly is. My only issue with this book is the father's actions seem unrealistic. ( )

I received a free copy for an honest review. Although the beginning seemed interesting, it was too simplistic and the main character a bit too young and childish. She wants a groom to teach her how to kiss a man so that she can attract the attention of a much older peer. This storyline is more for a teenager and didn't really have any substance to it. A quick read but not too much content. ( )

Lady Caroline wants to attract Lord Skriven, a man who has a taste for 'experienced' women. So, she plans to have the groom, Hugh, teach her how to kiss and attract a man.

This is a sweet enough tale. Lady Caroline was a rather immature heroine, but not too awful to read. Hugh was a hero I enjoyed. I just couldn't suspend my belief enough to really get behind a young lady falling in love with a groom.

The author did a wonderful job of being detailed and that is what saved the book in my opinion.

This was really out of the literature category that I am comfortable with but all in all I enjoyed reading this work. The back and forth banter of the main characters was amusing. Each new that they loved the other but just couldn't quite put the connection together. Their eventful meetings and finallyrics getting together would make a great beginning to a series on their adventures as they travel to the new world and begin their lives. A good read with an interesting plot. ( )
