An interesting survey of folklore about vampires and vampire hunter/slayers/seers - I'm not well-read enough to know how comprehensive it is. The chapters on the transition to literary slayers was also interesting but definitely cursory for post-Dracula works - Kolchak and Buffy get mentioned, there's no mention of any comics or manga works and their slayers (e.g. Blade or Vampire Hunter D).
