Alright so this book me quite some time to finish and there is a reason for it. I feel the book lost track of what I feel the series was all about. A female vampire. But this book was more about the government and it's conspiracues, spaceships, and espionage. While it fits in other books I feel it didn't quite pain put in this one. Honestly half the time I was too busy trying to figure out what was going on, when Sita would have a flash back at the end. And speaking of the end, of course it left it hanging, but I think Sita for maybe a good reason was being utterly selfish. So with that being said, I'm going to have to give this 3 stars and claim it as my least favorite book of the series. Wow, just wow! My head is left spinning after the latest installment of Thirst. I started the book thinking perhaps this was the final book in the story. I can honestly say that I sincerely hope it isn't after finishing it. This book drew me in faster and keep me more interested than book 4. I was drawn to Sita's memories and cried over the heartbreak she was forced to witness. This series is truly an amazing part of the vampire genre. This is a BIG book. Those were my first thoughts when I picked this book up and decided to read it. Actually, it was my second and third thoughts, too. Like all the other books in this series, I thought that the pacing was great. Really, I have yet to come across a book that was better paced. The one thing that I disliked reading about this book was that...wait...it's not even about the book actually, it's about the people. I HATE how people give me the LOOK when they see I'm reading a book about vampires. Somehow, they got it through their head that all vampire books are about a guy vampire who seduces a normal human girl, yada, yada, yada, yada. But it's not! OK?! People really have to get that stereotype out of their heads, because it is wrong. This book was SO much more than just good looking vampires, it integrated Nazis and all this history too. I may have learned more about history than I have in my socials class (maybe). Sita's absolute devotion to Krishna was unbelievable. It's rare to see books where religion is involved, so seeing such complete faith in this one was great! The ending was...unsatisfactory. It wasn't even a cliffhanger, it just ended at such a strange place, I kept flipping to the next page, expecting to see, another hundred pages or so...I hear there is a last book coming out...can you blame me for hoping that the author won't need another 500 pages to end this? I'd like to finish this series sometime in this lifetime, thank you very much! sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
