( ) Originally titled ''Why Did She Die ?', and now republished as 'Penelope Passes',a much more fitting title for this mystery. It is the third of four books which feature Lady Lupin Hastings,a dizzy clergyman's wife who has flashes of brilliance. In this book, together with her husband, she visits a family who on the surface are happy and contented. It soon becomes apparent that this is far from the case, and eventually one of them is shot in the garden. Lady Lupin sets about investigating the case and finds some very odd goings on indeed. A nice, light little mystery in which the characters of the investigator and the victim are perhaps more interesting than the crime itself. I must just say a word about the Rue Morgue Press who publish these wonderful books. The whole thing, from the cover art to the introductions and cast lists are first-class. Lovely books to handle as well.Top marks all round. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
