Conversation Tress Press is having their first kickstarter edition for a fabulous new edition of Treasure Island --
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ctpress/treasure-island-rl-stevenson
In the kickstarter you can pre-order the Standard
Or the Deluxe
Both editions are beautifully letterpress produced books, and both have gorgeous illustrations by Marc Castelli (all editions are signed by the artist too) --
I'm sure everyone here is familiar with the LEC edition featuring illustrations by Edward Wilson. In my mind, this edition by CTP is superior to the LEC edition in basically every way -- Again, my opinion -- That said, I wanted to share this with anyone who may not be aware of the kickstarter. Note that the kickstarter ends in three days and both editions are "very affordable" for books of this quality, especially the Standard.

>2 bacchus.: CTP notes: The expansive trim size has allowed for generous margins and the use of a two-column layout that not only echoes the style of historical books but also allows for line lengths of a comfortable reading length.
Compare this to some of the latter LEC editions, and they make Treasure Island looks small in comparison.

>3 astropi: Thanks for the info, makes more sense now. I do like it more than the LEC edition, and the installments option is very convenient . I’m quite tempted.

>4 bacchus.: As someone that has the Standard Peter Pan, I can attest to the quality of the book -- definitely worth getting :)
