More Information on my authors list

I find that the choices on the Authors menu dropdown less useful than it could be. There are 3 choices: with pictures, without pictures and All. Th format of the without pictures list is way more useful to me than the with pictures list. Then the All defaults to the pictures format, which I find useless.

Why not make the All choice be the name of each author?

This list would be even more useful if for each author two numbers were provided. First show the average rating for that author and second show the number of books my library contains for that author. I realize I can get those numbers for each author separately, but that is a lot of work for a long author list.

>1 JoeB1934: That link at the top actually goes to the "Author Gallery" page, which is why it's so picture-focused. It could certainly use some work.

You can also find a list of all the authors of your books by going to "Your Books", clicking the dropdown next to the "covers" button, and selecting "authors". This will show you how many books you have by each author, all in one place.

There's a long-standing RSI for improving that page as well: https://www.librarything.com/topic/309877

I must have been here too long, because my first response was "A long-standing RSI for improving the author tab? How did I miss that when I opened mine, um, last year, right?

>3 lorax: I had the opposite thought - "I think lorax opened an RSI for this approximately 75 years ago" and then it was only 2 years ago but I didn't feel like changing my adjective
