Any thoughts on the early part of this book, was a new co-writer evident at all?

I think Jack DuBrul was a smoother writer and the humor was better. This seems a little forced

So far I prefer du Brul. It's too early to know for sure. He might just need a little more time.

I found this slightly more plodding, but I don't know whether that's down to the author. Early days yet...

I liked Jack du Brul but I also like Boyd Morrison. The writing styles are just different but not unreadable.

It almost felt like they were starting the series over again, introducing all the characters and their past history. Did Cussler want to ensure Boyd knew them all. Difficult at this stage to compare, might need to ask this again at the end of the book.

I think the book did have a different feel to it.
