Resenhas

The book itself is fairly dated. It's an older title, and the copy from the library shows this. Having read a decent amount about the time period, this is a fairly thorough account of the feelings in Russia up to the assassination of Alexander II, who relative to other Russian rulers gave the populace far more leeway. The dissatisfaction with Alexander II, and his death, inevitably influenced the revolutionaries of the early 20th century. Without the actions in 1881, would they have ever thought being rid of the monarchy a serious possibility?
