(read 2 Sep 1999) This book had its genesis on July 19, 1989, when the crash occurred. The account is vivid and an appendix gives the Flight's black box recording transcript from 3:23 to 4:00, the time of the crash, and is compelling. Some of the time spent on the author's psychological aftermath is less compelling, but understandable.
