I absolutely loved this installment even though I dreaded going back to Tenebra. IYKYK But, having not just the expected crew but also the Ashes was an unexpected surprise. I don’t know if Vela Roth could introduce me to a character I don’t like! (Chrysanthos-stan here) Up until this series we have had several unanswered questions and in this book we finally get some answers no matter how hard it might be to accept for some of our characters. In Tenebra, where a woman’s weaving room is more dangerous than the tournament field, we get to revisit Cassia’s past and uncover more than just what she remembers. One thing I love about sequels/continuations in series is when books have their character’s consequences from the previous book/s and Blood Gift DELIVERS CONSEQUENCES. YOU GET A CONSEQUENCE AND YOU GET A CONSEQUENCE!
