Lavinia Rosenight

Alaric has gone with packmates to harass the witches and warlocks as the two sides are at war. They pick a solitary witch walking down the street. Turns our she is a Combat Witch and injures them. The packmates run off. Jessica, the witch, checks Alaric for wounds and takes him home to heal him as best she can. Will her good deed turn out to be the right decision? Will Alaric complete his mission?

This is a short story in the Magical Montreal Short Story series. I liked Alaric and Jessica. While on separate sides of the war, they had much in common. They found they had a strong bond but did not see the sense of completing it. Both are affected by their feelings and attraction. They get what they want which made me happy. I wish the story were longer so I could have seen their story fleshed out and really connected with them. I will read more of this author.… (mais)
