Decent summary and presentation of Hoppean Anarcho-Capitalism with title-related drama

This book presents the ideas of Hans-Hermann Hoppe from the alt-right and more mainstream American perspective. It does a great job of clearly differentiating libertarianism from left liberalism from statism, and showing how to achieve a libertarian social order. It also clearly shows how many current choices between the right and left (closed borders and completely open ones) could be much better resolved through a libertarian, contract based solution.

Somehow this book came incredibly politicized by including the word “white” in the title and a few pages addressing race. The content included a completely valid mention of libertarian movements being white (and male) both at founding and in terms of current adherents, and goes into a few reasonable consequences. It is explicitly against unfounded racial prejudice or hatred, and specifically calls out believing that all of group A are superior to group B as irrational and unjustified, as well as calling into question people who universally prefer all members of group A over group B. Overall, I don’t think the racial aspect of the argument was particularly significant except that it stirred up drama on the right (LVMI applied pressure to remove HHH’s preface from the book, etc.), but I also don’t think it was offensive or inaccurate.

Generally I’d still go straight to the works of Hoppe, but for a different presentation of the same ideas, this is a good book as well.
