A car accident ended Jack's life, but it was only the beginning of his story. Waking up in a new world in the womb of his new mother, Jack Smith is reborn as Kai Silversea, determined to live up to his first name and become a jack of all trades.

I adored this. It won't be for everyone. There's a heavy focus on the stats and levelling aspect of Kai's life but for those that do like those elements, it's gold. Kai constantly leverages every possible situation to gain new skills and expertise and I was rating it. His determination to be better was addictive and had me flying through pages. Considering the length that was an impressive feat. But something about the writing had me hooked and I was honestly disappointed to see the end.

I would've liked for Kai to help Aleera achieve more skills and levels and be a bit more open with the family about his secrets but overall it was well plotted and satisfying to read. I liked all the other characters and was fond of the world building. A fun read for fans of the genre. 5 stars.… (mais)
