My Dearest Enemy is a wonderful historical adventure/romance story.
It is set in the time period of the Revolutionary War.
AS with all wars, it depicts the good and bad on both sides of those involved in war.
Abigail Tidwell's family lived in Canada and were loyal to "the Crown", yet her farther went to various medical seminars in both America and England among other places.
Abigail felt all Americans were evil, that is until she met one.
Amelia became torn between friendship and loyalty to her country.
The characters become very real and alive in the reader's mind. The scenes are vividly portrayed until one feels he/she is actually there. The Book Cover and Title are both eye-catching and very fitting.
The story steadily moves along, adding sentiment, action, disease,& romance..not exactly in that order.

I simply adored A Week in Brighton! Three stories that are full of hope and truly from the heart. What I admired most about each story was how the hero and heroine of each tale were able to lift each other up and help give the other person the strength and courage to be a better version of themselves.

Each story has something that really spoke to me. In The Grand Hotel by the Sea by Jennifer Moore I was taken by the picturesque setting and how supporting Arthur and Daphne are to each other, each pushing the other to pursue their dreams, and to not live by fear.

In Signs of Love by Annette Lyon I was charmed by the sheer mystery surrounding this story. It was intriguing from the get-go and I applaud the author for giving such a fully and rich story in such a short amount of time. I also fell in love with Andrew's character and his pure heart of gold.

Finally, in The Reluctant Heir by Donna Hatch packs a lot of punch. My heart ached for Rowan's plight but seeing him go from tragedy to triumph was truly a joy.

Three tales that are uniquely different and yet all well written with one common thread, I thoroughly enjoyed entering into these worlds, if only for a moment, and believe this is one of the best volumes in the Timeless Regency Collection.

I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Meg Burton has traveled with her brother to attend the London Season in search of a husband. Her parents' are nearing financial ruin and a wealthy husband will secure their future. Meg is anything but a London lady however, she enjoys books, riding horses, adventures, and keeping up with the world periodicals. She finds herself bending to the will of the other ladies and gentlemen she is surrounded by and soon seeks distraction in the form of books. Lucky for her, her love of adventure finds her meeting Carlo, a stable hand of the Prince, who will do anything to make her time enjoyable. What Meg does know is that Carlo really is the Prince Rodrigo and true adventure awaits once she does.

Miss Burton Unmasks a Prince was such an enjoyable read as an innocent historical romance. It is told in alternating chapters from Meg and Rodrigo's perspective. The Spanish history really lends itself to the story and Meg's wit and American ways make her a great character. While the time frame of the novel is short, Moore gives extensive detail, a lot of adventure, and moments that make you both gasp and giggle. I really felt for the characters, even those that are minor, and I think that's what makes a book a good one. It didn't drag on and the romance, as well as the Spanish war story, really kept me hooked from start to finish.

The last chapter tied up everything so quickly that I felt I needed another chapter or two. I wanted to hear more about Rodrigo's adventure to rescue his family, their reaction to him finding love in an American woman, and the blossoming of their official romance as Price Rodrigo and Meg instead of Carlo and Meg.

I would recommend this book to almost all of my friends who enjoy historical romance and I think it could easily be enjoyed by girls in high school.

"Always, 'Twas You" by Jennifer Moore

My Thoughts....

“Always, 'Twas You” is a romantic suspense novel that is sure to please romance readers.
This book pulls you in with adventure and mystery. You get a kidnapping, murder and more. Our hero (Connor) and heroine (Kaitlyn) are an interesting pair. They have known each other since childhood and have been more than friends. It’s been eight years since they have seen each other after Kaitlyn left Ireland for the USA. They loved each other. After eight years, do they still feel the same?
Author Jennifer Moore pulls us into this tale as these two are drawn back together due to the mysterious death of a loved one. I loved how the author tied this all to a mysterious pendent that Connor had given Kaitlyn many years ago. What a wonderful gift… that might lead to trouble for her.
When Connor tries to explain why he needs the pendent back he’s met with resistance as Kaitlyn won’t listen to him. There are misunderstandings and Connor is a government agent.
I truly enjoyed this story filed with mystery. Add this Irish adventure to your must-read list. Believe me, this is an adventure story with very complex characters and a believable end.
