Economics and Policymaking: The Tragic Illusion… de Eugene J. Meehan
An aggressive critique of the pretensions of economic theory. The author argues that the empirical basis of economic theory is virtually nonexistent. Economic theories based on pure postulation, on the other hand, will never have any value for social policymaking in the real world. I enjoyed the book but it could also have included some ideas on how economics should be reformed to increase its relevance.
