The heroine is a siren in our world for about 5 minutes, before getting sucked into another. This first part of the serial is setup, and it alludes to an interesting world and an epic 5 kingdom struggle. The portal world is straight up fairy tale retelling, too, or maybe a mashup of multiple fairy tales.

You don't get to learn much about the men yet, just quick intros, so I can't quite tell them apart. But it's going to be interesting knowing them better, and also seeing how this heroine manages to find love with her ability and her dark memories of a childhood in our world.

I like that the heroine isn't an innocent fainting miss, and i also like that there seems to be mysteries around every corner in the intros. I'll be reading the second.… (mais)
