In this compact work, the author discusses her decision to be a single, childfree atheist--an identity that is far different than the dominant narrative of what it means to be a Black American woman. In a clear, articulate, balanced (and humorous!) voice, she describes her journey, and its challenges, without proselytizing. This book is inspirational for women trying to find their own way in the world and affirming for women who already own their choices. Highly recommended.
