The adventures in Squirrels in Antarctica is not just about the squirrels. This book hilariously places animals around the world in the most ridiculous areas that one would not even think of. I never knew what I would find the following page. Not only is it crazy to think of Antarctica being home to squirrels, so is hippos being in my kitchen. Or a starfish in space. I thought this book was quite a bit quirky and really silly but so fun and entertaining. It is always nice to hear the laughter of a little one when they hear or see something so funny.

Squirrels in Antarctica is vividly illustrated by the talented artist, Todd Wilkerson. The colorful pictures are eye catching and can easily keep the youngest of readers engaged all throughout while reading. They are a perfect addition to the story. The artist did a wonderful job conveying what the author was trying to say on each page.

I am giving Squirrels in Antarctica a very well deserved five plus stars. I recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and nine years old. I believe it would make a great placement on public library and classroom shelves. I am curious to see what other adventures author, Sari Karplus, has in store for his young readers in the future.

I received a soft cover copy of Sari Karplus' Squirrels in Antarctica from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

I thought this was a fun book. It featured all different kinds of fun animal combinations. The first being the title of this book of Squirrels in Antarctica.

How about a narwal napping in New York, a porcupine in Paris wearing pink, a blobfish teaching English in the southern part of Spain, or a reindeer riding rainbows with his closest reindeer crew to name a few more animal combos. This book lets the young reader's imagination run wild imagining all of the different, wacky, and fun combinations that they can dream up. There is no wrong answer.

You should give it a try and see how many animal combos you can come up with like...a horse trotting on a golf course, a cow mowing a lawn, or a turtle walking along the seashore. This book is a quick and easy read that will have your young readers reading it over and over again.
