The Shark King: TOON Level 3 de R. Kikuo Johnson

This is a great short graphic novel for 7- to 9-year-old readers. The art is great, the story intriguing and funny, and even though the ending left me feeling like, "That's it? It's over already?" it's really the perfect length for a kid with a short attention span.

An old man dies. His children grieve in their own way. His grandson is more preoccupied with a missing cat. Oh, wait, here's the cat. End.

Being set in Hawaii does little to make the above more interesting. Nice pictures though.

I read four two-star books today. Maybe it's me?
