A typical Arthur Conan Doyle pastiche which involves Mrs. Hudson who solves a murder or two on her own. There are some fanciful elements which beg credibility, but overall this is a good, if not great, mystery which uses some deductive reasoning and adds another extension of Doyle's characters by a later author.
