Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evial desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. We cannot defeat sin in our own strength. Only the Spirit can truly convict the heart of the evil and danger of sin. Only the Spirit can reveal to us the fullness of Christ and establish in our hearts the confident expectations of triumph through him.
