Beautifully produced collection of book covers and handwritten inscriptions found in second-hand book stores. The colour reproductions and carefully transcribed messages from unknown people to their friends, family or lovers are touching to read, if a little transitory. The decision to print some messages across the fold of two pages is a big mistake, if possible you want to read the original words, which is almost impossible printed in this way. And I think, perhaps shallowly, that a few famous names would have boosted my interest greatly. A book to read and give away as a gift. With a suitable personal inscription of course.… (mais)
