Dawes is no scholar, far from it, and the book is very randomly put together, but it is packed with information if you can properly cull it from the articles, newsletters, and correspondence that she quotes. She is at her best when she quotes at length from David Fasold, the hero of the story. Fasold is an excellent author who really should be credited with being the only sane and open-minded author on the Durupınar ark formation. Dawes takes some unwarranted detours. Instead of focusing on the story of Fasold, the arch-pseudo-everything Ron Wyatt, and the "Ark trial" in her native Australia (which pitted a creationist vs. an atheist and, inexplicably, Fasold) she intrudes too often with the finer points of her own personal life and her odd fascination for Vendyl Jones.… (mais)
