About the Author
Fay Ping Chiang was born in the Bronx, New York on January 27, 1952. While attending Hunter College, she became active in the movement against the Vietnam War and worked with student groups to establish Asian-American studies courses and programs at Hunter and other colleges in the City University mostrar mais of New York system. She left college to take care of her dying father. She eventually received a degree in illustration from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She worked several jobs with nonprofit groups including the Basement Workshop, the Henry Street Settlement's outreach program, Project Reach, and Poets and Writers. She published three volumes of poetry including 7 Continents 9 Lives. She died from complications of cancer on October 20, 2017 at the age of 65. (Bowker Author Biography) mostrar menos
