This is basically another "movie star" rendition of "this is me and my life and am I not charming?" Don't get me wrong. I have several of these style books. However, Delta Burke is charming and sweet and fun. She invites the reader to accompany her on her reminiscent tour like a real girlfriend and shares her adventures with sweetness and warmth.
She even invites you to go shopping in New Orleans with her at her own favorite shops, providing you with the addresses of these wonderful places. I looked up several when I was in New Orleans not long after reading her book. It's a fun read. Burke is spunky and sweet and full of charm.
