This little book is a compilation of jokes, quotes, memes, ... by actors, writers, philosophers, politicians, and so on. All the jokes (to use this term) are subdivided into 40 categories, of which each category takes up a few pages: Age, Books, School, History, Women, Life, Love, Modern art, Money, and many more.

On the left side you have the jokes/quotes/... in English, on the right side you have the French translation with here and there extra explanation about the English wording. Some jokes could not be translated, such as the Palindromes, logically, and others were - well, not "lost in translation" - not as funny in French. Maybe because some expressions (or the subtleties) can't be properly translated. The majority, however, did make me laugh.

You can read this little book in one sitting, when you're in the mood for (dry) humour and puns. The combination of English and French makes this a nice edition to practise your language skills in a loose way.

P.S.: this edition is/was free when you buy/bought two Pocket (name of the publisher) books.
