Even after attending obedience school, Emma's dog Toby misbehaves, until she takes him back to become a "specially trained dog."

Toby, Emma's dog, was always in trouble. Emma's mom did not like that she sent Toby to a dog training school. Toby was still bad. Emma and her mom sent Toby back to dog training school, but this time Toby stayed for a whole week. when he came back he was very well behaved. the next week he dragged Emma on the ground when she was walking him. Overall, no dog is perfect. I like this book because it teaches about obedience and when we read this book in class we can talk about how we have to obey our parents, but its okay if we mess up sometimes ( )

Toby, Emma's dog, is always getting into trouble. It gets to the point where Toby needs to go to doggy school to be trained. It semi-works but, he needs to go away for a week for strict one on one training. In the end Toby is a good dog. The illustrations are cute and very lively--great job of portraying chaos.

This realistic fiction story is one that many kids can relate to. It is about a dog who just can't behave even after obedience school but they love him anyways. It takes a second round of a special obedience school to get him to listen but he can't be perfect all the time. The illustrations are fun because they show the dog enjoying his family as well as with the family has to go through to put up with him.
