First off, this isn't a comfortable book, nor one some should read. Having said that, I have high praise for it because the author has done a fine job of creating an abuse survivor who experiences such deep and strong denial that even she is shocked when she finally unblocks her experiences. Some will find it difficult to believe such pain could be that well hidden. I know better, having worked with adolescents in a psychiatric setting. Kudos to the author for going through what I expect she had to in order to write this book. It's one deserving a spot in many libraries. ( )
