In my opinion this a heartwarming book. I like this book due to the illustrations and writing. The illustrations in this book are wonderful because it is a pop-up book. When the baby bunny was telling his dad how much he loved him the baby bunny put his hands out wide. When the dad responded, “I love you more, son.” In the book there was a piece of paper that the reader pulls down and its shows the dad’s arms opening up wide, this expresses how much the father loves his son. I also liked the illustrations because the pictures fit the text. Throughout this book, the words are very loving which gives the book a soft feel; the pictures in this book are also very soft. There are not any bright colors, but more light and dull colors. This book is also great because of its writing. This story is very organized. The little bunny always states why he loves his dad more, and the father always follows with a reason that is bigger than the way his son loves him. This book is also very well paced. Although it is repetitive, the author did a great job with not adding too many examples and the illustration did a great job on the placements of the pop-up pictures.
In conclusion, this book is great. It really shows the love that a family member has for each other is endless. I believe the author, Sam McBratney, wanted to show the reader that love is endless and does not compare to any other object in the world. ( )
