Sabre tackles 3 cases at once, a child bride whose father married her to an older man, 3 boys who are afraid of their father and his violent outbursts and 2 children whose mother thinks she was impregnated by a spirit. With all these cases going on Sabre and her P.I. boyfriend J.P. haven't had much time together except when working on cases. Add to the mix that her mother has started dating a man she met online and her brother Ron is worried gives you every reason to turn your phone off, put your feet up and just enjoy reading the 9th book in this series.

Teresa writes in a style that even though there are several stories going on you are never lost or confused. The stories are wrapped up nice and neat and reading about Sabre and the gang are like old friends coming over to visit. You don't have to start with book one to enjoy this series but I guarantee that once you have read one you will be buying the rest. Even though this book just came out I can't wait for book 10.
