I continue to be a fan but I've got to say that I was pretty disappointed with this one. The insta love was overwhelming. There was absolutely no character development at all. These two had only met for about 10 minutes 50 years or more ago and I'll buy that they remembered each other with fondness and regret for what might have been. But that their relationship picked up as if they had been lovers for years and had only been separated months was a bit much to swallow. They were so totally in love so immediately. I was left thinking 'hey! Where'd my romance go?' Aren't romances supposed to be about a couple falling in love?

So what was left to tell? Well there was some stuff about bad guys trying to keep them from reaching the cyborg planet and trying to kill the girl. who was a new species we haven't seen before. This was a classic example of an author who seems to be running out of ideas so they think up a new race or new special ability that had never even been hinted at before. If you're out of ideas, just quit. The problem with this part of the plot was that it was all resolved so quickly and only with the help of others that there wasn't a lot for our hero and heroine to do.

The whole book was mostly tell not show and I never felt in the middle of anything that happened. (

Eve is canine unit, another product of gov't DNA tampering. She and her kind were also instrumental in helping the cyborgs escape Earth. I think she was way too easy to forgive the cyborgs, even if Blackie is her mate, but then she's probably a better person than I would be. Blackie who previously was bad guy learns about blindly following orders and falling in love. Overlap and hints for future stories.

Dear Ms. Dohner, you have actually redeemed this series for me. I was expecting another cliche book from the series cause you seem to repeat stories a lot. I liked that you added in Eve and her species. Good job. (

Paranormal Romance. Cyborg Seduction 8. Eva and her sisters are sort of dog-hybrids. They helped cyborgs escape but were left behind. OK
