The story is sweet and useful for teaching children the difference between physical gifts and the more important gifts of a love of world cultures and a relationship with your grandma. The plasticine illustrations of Barbara Reid, however, are by far the greatest part of this book. The incredible detail and vibrant color of the pictures could make this a favorite bed-time story of many children. ( )
