An informational book about a chicken rescue in the city

Media: photos. THis is a great example of an informational book because of new and updated information about animal rights and chickens in general. IT's interesting that this book has humanitarian view of these farm animals. I like this book because it's not just information in that way, it's advocacy.

Mary Briitton Clouse and her husband, Bert have given hundreds of homeless birds a safe place to rest until they can be adapted be caring families. It is an unusual story!
Usage: Teacher can use this book to ask students tell their stories with animals. And teacher let students write a short paragraph about their stories. ( )

This was really great nonfiction read all about the Chicken Run Rescue. Chicken Run Rescue was started by Mary Britton Clouse and her husband Bert. They helped chickens who had been neglected or dumped. This was such a great book that showed volunteerism and animal rescue. This would be a great read for a class of young students who were about ready to volunteer. It would also be a great read for people who wanted to know more about chickens, or animal rescue. ( )

A most enjoyable story about a safe haven for rescued urban poultry in downtown Minneapolis. ( )
