This was an introduction to Fischer Hellmann for me: while I'm not a big fan of detective fiction in short stories (no character development, plot moves too quickly and the ending is usually sensational), I did enjoy the author's style, especially in the first story in which the theme is very different from the other stories. This collection was a good way to get acquainted Hellmann's work and I would definitely read her detective novels if just to get to know Georgia David and Ellie Foreman better.
The author's introduction to each story is also welcome for setting and insights. (
